Question: How can we lovingly take big risks?
How do people decide what risks are worth taking?
I’m fan-girling over Johnny Harris these days. He is one of the filmmakers I would love to one day embody. He created the amazing YouTube video on how he took a picture of a galaxy above – as a way to think about the challenging process of learning.
The takeaways he describes from his experience of learning is the decent and rise from an abyss and the importance of having good tools for your goal.
I also listened to “Brené on FFTs” podcast episode of Unlocking Us with Brené Brown where she breaks down the process of feeling fear, awkward, and vulnerable when starting something new.
I wonder how these two might talk to each other. How does Johnny have the confidence to commit to such a challenging endeavor while grappling with the deep emotions that arise? How does he wander into the unknown and willingly document an endeavor he might never achieve? Meanwhile, Brené openly talks about the struggles of using the Peloton bike to exercise. How do we bridge the gap between these two?
